
On 10 November, Nores, in collaboration with Krogvis, organised an education and social gathering for Nores members in Kiruna.
As tourism in Norrland continues to grow strongly — with a record number of guest nights in 2024 and an increasing interest in genuine Arctic experiences — the role of hotels and restaurants is becoming increasingly important to the overall experience. Here, Nores and Krogbi actively contribute to the positive development of the industry, where professionalism and hospitality are at the heart.
Members enjoyed an inspiring day with a focus on hosting and upselling — combined with smart shopping. The course, held by Krogvis, was a mixture of guest focus, sales and purchasing skills. This creates both more satisfied guests and better financial results for the operations.
The day offered valuable reminders of the basics of good hosting: greeting, caring for, ending the meeting and guiding the guest for the best experience possible.
There was also a lovely lunch and coffee served at Best Western Arctic Eden in Kiruna.
